We’d love to hear from you!

In the process of writing and performing a Spoken Word Poem, you might find aspects of yourself you haven’t discovered before, dimensions of the world you haven’t noticed, and an imperishable eagerness to indulge in even more writing.

Join us on Saturday, March 10, for our first ever Spoken Word Poetry Seminar given by Majd Shidiac – The Founder and Resident Poet at The Poetry Pot.

This class is built on the idea that the most exciting writing begins right after the first draft, right when an idea is embodied onto paper. Poetry can change the way the writer and reader think of many things. It can introduce a new ground for language, express an idea in an utterly unique way.

Take part of the full process of writing a Spoken Word Poem whether through finding unique sources of inspiration, getting access to the right writing tools and exercises, acquire a firm grip on some modern editing strategies specifically for spoken word poetry, as well as have the chance to exercise your performance.

Training language: English
Writing can be in any language!

What can I do after this workshop?
After this one-day workshop, you can decide to continue for 3 additional sessions and complete your training in Spoken Word. You will have the opportunity to train in the writing as well as the performance and then put your training to the test in one of our Poetry Open Mic nights across the city. We love poetry, and we actually use it to strengthen all our writing (including business, believe it or not!). We’re here to share our love for it and our knowledge with you.
